How it started
GOA
NEVER
LEAVES
YOU.
Every Goan knows it. You're miles from home — in a flat in Leicester, at a desk in Mumbai, in a city that smells nothing like coconut palms and sea air — and someone mentions kokum curry, the sound of the Carnaval, or the way the evening light hits the Mandovi river. Something in your chest pulls.
Born In Goa was made for that pull. Not just for people born on those red-laterite roads — but for every single person who has ever stood on a Goa beach and felt something shift inside them.
We started making streetwear that speaks Konkani. That shouts Susegad on a Monday morning. That wears Yo Baile Yo like an attitude, not just a phrase. Oversized fits, puff print details, clothes built for the generation that moves between cultures and refuses to belong to just one.
The language on our clothes
Konkani · Philosophy
SUSEGAD
From Portuguese sossegado. In Goa it became something more — the art of living without urgency. The original slow-living philosophy, 500 years before the trend.
Konkani · Expression
TENSION GHEVOP NA
Don't take tension. The Goan antidote to every Monday, every deadline, every city that forgets to breathe. Wear it. Mean it.
Konkani · Invitation
YO BAILE YO
Come, dance. Because there is always a reason to. Not just a phrase — a default setting.
Konkani · Blessing
MOG ASUM
Let there always be love. How Goans say goodbye, cheers, and good morning all at once.
